Andy Mouse III

£350.00Price

About this silkscreen "Andy Mouse III" is part of Keith Haring's celebrated 1986 series in which he merged two of the most powerful icons of American visual culture: Andy Warhol and Mickey Mouse.

The result is a hybrid figure — Warhol's silver wig fused with Mickey's silhouette — that pays tribute to Haring's mentor and friend while commenting on consumer culture, celebrity, and the mass-produced image. This silkscreen is the 1990 edition produced after Haring's death by TeNeues under licence from the Keith Haring Estate, faithfully reproducing the original 1986 work.

About the work

Haring met Andy Warhol in 1984 and the two became close. After Warhol's death in 1987, Haring described him as "the artist who changed everything".

The "Andy Mouse" series — four images produced in 1986 — is the most direct homage Haring made to Warhol during their friendship.

When was Andy Mouse made?

The original Andy Mouse series was created by Keith Haring in 1986. This particular silkscreen is the 1990 Estate edition produced by TeNeues under licence from the Keith Haring Foundation, faithful to the 1986 original.

What is Andy Mouse about? Andy Mouse is Keith Haring's homage to his friend and mentor Andy Warhol. By fusing Warhol's iconic silver wig with the silhouette of Mickey Mouse, Haring celebrates Warhol himself as a pop-cultural icon — as recognisable and mass-reproduced as Disney's mascot.

At Harmonia Gallery we select only exhibition and celebratory posters that meet our gallery standards of quality and preservation.

As a rule, all our works are printed on museum-grade paper with a weight of at least 250gsm and neutral pH, ensuring durability and resistance to aging.

These specifications represent the minimum criteria we require both when sourcing from collectors, galleries, or museums, and when offering them to our clients.

Many of the posters we present include printed artist signatures, numbering, or exhibition details, as was traditionally done for authentic museum editions.

Each item is accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity, which attests to the paper quality, definition, and collectible nature of the work.

Although these are not original artworks, they are rare and sought-after editions that allow collectors and enthusiasts to bring into their homes a piece of the atmosphere of the exhibitions and the spirit of the great masters at an accessible price.

Carefully curated and selected, they embody the mission of Harmonia Gallery: making fine art posters and museum editions available for collectors worldwide.
